Continuous Quality Management (CQM) is an ongoing process at Cardinal McCloskey Services through which valued outcomes are identified and key activities developed to track and monitor our success in achieving these outcomes. Our goals are to assess and improve overall performance and to meet standards that promote quality outcomes. Through CQM, we are working to improve our client services and operations as well as to prepare and strengthen our organization for long-term stability and growth. Listed below are some of the CQM processes and activities that we now have in place or are launching across the organization to provide safe and secure environments, to maintain quality services and to ensure accountability.

Safety

  • Quarterly Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, CPR/First Aid, Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention, Site Specific Target Population Training and NTSI Driving Course
  • Site Specific Safety: Fire Drills, Sprinkler/Fire System Maintenance, OSHA Training, Infection Control and Physical Plant Surveys
  • Personnel Screening- SCR, Fingerprinting, Thorough Application and Interview Process
Accountability
  • "Open Door Policy"-Agency orientation which promotes effective communication and appropriate action
  • Environment that emphasizes respect for clients as well as employees
  • Home Visits (Preventive, Foster Care and TFBH) and SCOR Reports
  • Adherence to Regulatory Requirements- Incident reporting and State and Federal Audits
  • Multiple eyes on one case- Supervisors, Directors, Collateral Workers and QA Personnel
Quality
  • Incident Review- Quarterly Administrative Review of Significant Incidents, Monthly Department Meetings
  • Audits- PES Reviews, Annual Surveys, Internal Audits and Case Record Reviews
  • Feedback Mechanisms- Staff, Family and Participant Surveys, Suggestion Boxes, Training Evaluations
