At Cardinal McCloskey Services we believe that it in order for a child to
reach his or her greatest potential, we must address the physical,
emotional, cognitive and clinical issues that need attention. This is an
agency-wide approach that is emphasized even more so in our Health
Services Department which is responsible for promoting both the physical
and mental health of CMS children.
In addition to obtaining traditional training, CMS medical and clinical
staff has been specially trained to treat the complicated health issues
that often face children who have suffered abuse and neglect. And,
although we have a very special commitment to the children we serve, we
have an equally strong desire to see all children healthy and safe.
As a public service to all
who share in our commitment, we are proud to add this Public Education
section to our Web site. In addition to an overview on a variety of
parental/caretaker concerns including asthma, obesity and fire-safety, we
will continually provide you with access to credible Web sites that offer
detailed information about the most common childhood health and safety
issues. The information viewed through our site consists of answers to
frequently asked questions, signs and symptoms and phone numbers and
addresses for further inquiry.
We hope you find this section useful and we encourage you to visit
regularly to view the most updated information.
