Help make wishes come true …

Cardinal McCloskey Services cares for nearly 2,000 abused, neglected or at-risk children every day. Some of these children are living in our emergency residential shelter for abused children, some are in our group homes, some have been placed with families in our foster care program and some are living with their families who are barely surviving the devastation of extreme poverty. In addition, our Residential Services Program provides homes for 80 developmentally disabled adults.
All Amanda wanted for her 6th birthday was a basketball -- and a "forever family". She got both wishes. Through a generous toy donation, Amanda got her basketball. A few weeks later she was adopted by her foster parents. Now all Amanda wants is to become a "lady basketball player" when she grows up. Last winter, the NYC Sports Commission donated tickets so Amanda and her new family - as well as several other CMS foster children and newly adopted children-- could watch New York's LADY LIBERTY women's basketball team play in the WBA play-off game at Madison Square Garden. With help, we are working to make dreams come true for all those we serve. Can you help?

Your help is needed to bring the joy and wonder of birthday, Christmas and special occasion celebrations to those we serve.

Some More Wishes

Event Tickets & Passes

We try to give the children and special needs adults in our care as many opportunities for new experiences as possible. We are always looking for tickets and passes to community activities to enhance the services we provide. Tickets to sporting events, concerts and theatre shows as well as passes to the zoo, amusement parks and the movies are always welcome!

Other Needs

Linens - for our Girls' Group Homes and Hayden House are always needed. Sheets, comforters and towels that become their own are a way to help adolescents in these programs adjust to their new environment. Posters, rugs and decorative items that can be used to personalize their rooms are also on our wish list.

Karoke Machines - for our Girls' Group Homes, Hayden House and our group homes for our developmentally disabled adults as well as our Day Habilitation Progarm and our Day Care Center. Everyone loves to sing and these fun machines can help turn every gathering into a party.

Backpacks & Duffle Bags - Maintaining family ties is an important part of Cardinal McCloskey's mission. The children in our Foster Boarding Home Program, Girls Group Home Program and our Residential Services Programs often return to visit family on the weekends or holidays. We never have enough backpacks, small suitcases or duffle bags.
